Anika & myself arrived in Calgary, Canada after almost 20 hours of flights and we were both extremely drained, especially me, who only got about an hour of sleep. The flight over was ok, with a decent selection of movies on hand and the food was ok too. When we arrived in Vancouver for our connecting flight to Calgary, we were held up through customs for a while which meant we were about 10 minutes late to check in, but lucky enough we had a decent lady who served us and allowed us through, as the bloke in front of us in the queue was denied his flight to Calgary for being late…phew.
On arrival at the airport, our Couch Surfer Host, Sarah, greeted us. Sarah and her husband Denis live in a nice little cosy house on a nice street, with a very large beautiful greyhound dog called Scamp. We have a bedroom to ourselves and it was nice to get a decent sleep.
We have noticed the “typical American” pick-up trucks, that seem extremely popular, and the streets are very much like the movies, no front yards, all kind of joining to the neighbouring house.
